Independent Game Developer Slated to Speak
Glen Martin, CEO of Dynamic Adventures Inc., is scheduled to present a series of workshops Friday April 12th in the Fine Arts Building on the campus of The University of Georgia. His visit will conclude with a public presentation regarding the role of dramatic narratives in interactive entertainment.
Mr. Martin is the founder and head of Dynamic Adventures Inc., an
Orlando-based electronic game development company. Dynamic Adventures creates computer
role-playing games with complex alter egos, unique worlds, exciting story
lines, and not one elf or dwarf. Their recently published game, "Zenfar,"
is available at CompUSA and other major retailers now...
Mr. Martin will be speaking formally about the role of dramatic narratives in electronic games in Room 54, Fine Arts at 4:30 PM on the 12th of April.
Students who have done work in Animation, Game Development or Interactive Software Development are encouraged to attend either of Mr. Martin's morning sessions held in the Dramatic Media Labs, behind the glass door, off the lobby of the Fine Arts Building.
At 10:00 AM on Friday, he will critique selected student work. Students may email Dr. Partridge, if they would like to show their portfolio or reel. At 1:30 PM, Mr. Martin will talk about some of the technical and professional challenges of developing games independently.
Space for the morning and early afternoon sessions is limited. Attendees should arrive early.
